As a family business, we are very conscious of our responsibility to future generations and offer all products for residential construction CO2-neutral as standard. In this way, customers have the option to offset remaining emissions and make a contribution to climate protection when purchasing our products. With its sustainability strategy, Hörmann is aiming to reduce emissions or avoid them altogether. We cover 100% of our electrical power needs at all European production locations with green electricity from renewable sources. We also apply many other measures to reduce our consumption and save more than 75000 tonnes of CO2 each year. We work with ClimatePartner to offset the remaining emissions by supporting certified climate protection projects.

Especially for garages that are directly connected to the house double-skinned sectional doors are the first choice. In addition to the LPU 42 with very good thermal insulation, the LPU 67 Thermo offers everything that is expected from modern construction and renovation: excellent thermal insulation achieved by sections with a thermal break with a U-value of 0.33 W/(m²·K)*, a very good seal on spaces between sections with double lip seals and an optimum floor connection using double bottom seals, which also compensate for floor unevenness and energy losses.

A well-insulated garage door is always recommended when the garage and the home are directly connected. To further improve the already high insulation values, especially of its LPU sectional door, Hörmann has developed the ThermoFrame frame connection, a plastic profile that can be simply fitted together with the door frame.
This creates a thermal break between the frame and the brickwork, improving thermal insulation by up to 15 %*. The optional ThermoFrame frame connection is available for all Hörmann sectional doors.

A non-brittle, 4 cm plastic frame shoe covers the frame where it is prone to rusting and offers long-term protection against corrosion, even with waterlogging, which is unmatched by competitor solutions.
Together with the door’s bottom seal, the frame shoe makes for a bottom edge that is visually appealing.

The Duragrain surface has an impressive detailed, natural and colourfast door appearance. An innovative digital print on a galvanized section with priming in RAL 9002 and a high-quality protective paint finish create an attractive door appearance that lasts. The fascia panel and other accessories are available in a decor print.

Our sectional garage doors LPU 42 with L-ribbing and Duragrain surface finish now look even more harmonious: The fascia panel (1) of the doors is now also printed in the matching Duragrain decor of the door sections as standard. Other accessories such as the frame covering (2), the single-skinned panel, the fascia frame set, side door profiles or the aluminum glazing frame can also be supplied in matching Duragrain decor. The Duragrain surface finish is transferred to the door surface and accessories using an innovative digital printing process and boasts a true-colour, detailed design. An additional final coating makes the surface particularly hard-wearing, scratch-resistant and stain-resistant and ensures a long-lasting, beautiful door view.

Modern door design with a matching look: Our new, exclusive Duragrain decors for LPU 42 sectional garage doors with L-ribbing are perfectly matched to the MatchDecor decors of the same name for our ThermoSafe aluminium entrance doors. This combination creates a harmonious overall appearance as if cast from the same mould. The five new decors Cement, Rusty Patina, Wild Oak, Barnwood and Barnwood grey provide an extraordinary door design and accentuate a modern facade design.

The new decors are transferred to the surface of the door using state-of-the-art technology and produce a true-colour and detailed appearance. A patented coating process is used for ThermoSafe MatchDecor entrance doors and an innovative digital printing process for garage doors. An additional protective coating makes the Duragrain surface particularly hard-wearing, scratch-resistant and stain-resistant and ensures a long-lasting, beautiful door view. The designs are available as Duragrain decors for LPU 42 sectional garage doors with L-ribbing and for ThermoSafe entrance doors as MatchDecor surface finishes for a total of 18 styles.

Even spacing and invisible section transitions for ribbed doors

Hörmann garage doors are distinguished by even, exact spacing of sections. The sections are shaped so that the transitions are practically invisible when the door is closed. See for yourself!

To add to the overall appearance, a practical side door with an alignment matching the sectional garage doors is also available.

Irregular spacing of sections, due to different section heights coupled with visible section transitions on competitor doors. This gives the door an uneven look.

For a harmonious overall appearance, Hörmann sectional garage doors feature uniform vertical spacing between the individual cassettes. This is achieved by using panels of equal height across the entire door. The horizontal spacing between the cassettes within a panel is also consistent. This results in a visually balanced door design. Matching side doors with the same panel layout are also available upon request for a coordinated look.

With doors from other manufacturers, an uneven cassette layout is often noticeable due to varying panel heights. This creates a less uniform door appearance.

The harmonious appearance of a door is the result of many small details: The fascia panel (1) provided always matches the door sections. The side frames (2) are available with a white Woodgrain surface finish* as standard. With frame coverings, the side frames can be easily adapted to the surface finish of the sections.

For LPU doors, a flush-fitting fascia panel is the most elegant solution for an invisible transition between the panel and door leaf. When the door is closed, the top door section is flush with the panel.

Wicket doors are recommended for easy passage with a trip-free threshold into your garage. You can also retrieve bicycles or gardening equipment from your garage without opening the door.
The stainless steel threshold is only 10 mm in the centre and 5 mm high at the sides. This makes it easier to wheel things through and reduces the risk of tripping up.

Uninvited guests barely stand a chance with Hörmann’s automatic sectional doors. When the garage door is closed, the anti-lift kit automatically engages in the operator boom’s stop, then locks immediately and is secured against forced opening.

This door latching functions purely mechanically and, in contrast to competitor operators, continues to secure the door even when the power fails.

You have the option of the LPU 67 Thermo automatic sectional garage door and the LPU 42 automatic sectional garage door with certified RC2 security features compliant with DIN/TS 18194. This means that your garage door will withstand an attempted break-in with tools such as screwdrivers, pliers and wedges for at least 3 minutes. Certified burglar protection like this is also recommended by police information centres.

The LPU 42 PremiumPlus sectional garage door offers increased corrosion protection and is therefore particularly suitable for use in areas with a maritime climate, e.g. in coastal regions. The additional corrosion protection is achieved by a high-quality protective coating on the outside of the sections with cut edge sealing as well as a premium frame with powder-coated door hardware, tracks and connection rails. Also, the doors with S, M and D-ribbing have additional ribbed filler profiles for better sealing at the section transitions and in the ribbing area. The PremiumPlus version is available for all LPU 42 sectional garage doors with Woodgrain and Silkgrain surfaces.

The bidirectional radio system BiSecur features future-oriented technology for the convenient and secure operation of garage and entrance gate operators, door operators, lights and more.

This extremely secure BiSecur encryption protocol, developed by Hörmann, with a stable, interference-free range makes sure that no one can copy your radio signal. It was tested and certified by security experts at Bochum university and independent test institutes.

All BiSecur operators, receivers and control elements are 100% compatible. By simply pressing the button on your hand transmitter or radio switch, you can operate your garage door and entrance gate as well as entrance door locks, door operators or other devices with BiSecur receivers. The standard HCP interface in every Hörmann operator provides you with even more options. This means that all Hörmann garage door and entrance gate operators can be easily networked with external Smart Home systems.

You no longer have to go out in all kinds of weather to check if your door is closed. At the press of a button, the colour of the LED on the hand transmitter HS 5 BS or the internal push button FIT 5 BS indicates the position of the door.  If required, another push of a button* closes the door. It is the most convenient and secure way to control your door.

If you use your garage as a hobby room, you also want a harmonious door view in the garage: With the Premium version of sectional garage doors LPU 42 and LPU 67 Thermo, the door hardware, frames, tracks and connecting rail are painted in Grey white RAL 9002 to match the section interior*. And twin rollers ensure very quiet and low-wear door travel.

*In the section transition, the exterior sheet might shine through to create a coloured strip between the sections.
